DARK NIGHT WITH FLOPPA is an emotional horror from the first person about searching for pictures in a dark forest. The gameplay is simple – You found yourself in the wilderness and now you need to explore this place to collect 8 pictures of cats that someone hid somewhere nearby. Find all the pictures before the Big Floppa finds you. There is no complicated pumping, complicated plot or expensive special effects in this game. Only your lonely

character, the night forest, a spot of dim light from a flashlight and a Big Floppa.  Floppa’s AI, while being manageable at first, scales in difficulty to both a gross and impossible degree at five pages or more. In my extensive review, even being the gamer I am, I was unable to get past this five page stage on both maps. The difficulty must be at the very least, tuned down for higher amounts of pages. Performance is also lackluster in this game. Despite it’s meager graphics, my frames per second did not go past 40. Given that I played this on a high end custom built juicer, this should not be the case.

The flashlight seems very unresponsive, and if it even has any real effect on gameplay, I do not know. I would have times where I clicked it multiple times, and there would be no change in lighting. VERY IMPORTANT: Floppa AI carries over through runs. Difficulty WILL NOT RESET after dying in the previous run UNTIL a page is collected in the new run. After the new page is collected in the new run, it will reset to 1/8 page difficulty from whatever

is was in the run prior. This can lead to some deaths happening before even one page can be collected, and this can happen multiple times, making the game very frustrating Conclusion: This game has a very solid base, and definitely has the potential to rock the Horror Industry to it’s core, if given proper love, attention, and patches to fix the bugs and cons. I am excited to see what direction this game takes.
