But now to the positive: behind all that clunkiness is actually a decent game. This was made by two developers, only one over the last year, but you can feel the love of the world right away. It’s not just a generic fantasy setting, the Gothic inspiration shimmers right through with it being a smaller world, but designed with a lot of love. The idea behind the combat system, even if it’s clunky, is pretty good with a nice mix of attacks and Scrolls to use in combination. Generally playing this game really gave me this feeling that Gothic and Morrowind gave me back in the day. And that means a lot, cause the only game I can think of that gave me similar vibes in the last years was Kingdom Come Deliverance. I think with time this game has a lot of potential. And I’m just really happy that someone actually tries to make a decent RPG again, cause most companies have sadly given up on that.
